DALLAS — ExxonMobil Corp. will pay the salaries for college interns this summer at 75 nonprofit organizations in Dallas with grants totaling $175,000.
College students will intern for eight weeks at nonprofits ranging from museums to homeless centers.
Over the years, the company has provided more than $1.5 million in grants to hire 720 college students to intern at nonprofits in the Dallas area
“As organizations receive needed assistance, student interns are exposed to our nonprofit community,” said Julie Thomas, executive director of the Volunteer Center of Dallas County. The Center will coordinate the summer jobs program.
ExxonMobil has funded the summer jobs program for the past 10 years, since moving its headquarters to nearby Irving.
