Building partnerships – Conference examines collaboration

 |

PHILADELPHIA — Foundation and nonprofit officials will convene at LaSalle University in Philadelphia on March 17 to discuss ways to improve collaboration in the faces of changes in the philanthropic world.

The conference, “The Changing Nature of Philanthropy”, will address the impact of the changing economy on philanthropy.

Sponsored by the Nonprofit Management Development Center at La Salle University, the conference aims to foster relationships between foundations and nonprofits.

“The goal is to show that foundations and nonprofits are not on opposite sides of the table — they’re collaborators, partners, and colleagues,” saus Karen Simmons, the center’s executive director.

Featured panelists will include executives from the Pew Charitable Trusts, Philadelphia Foundation and Prudential.

Registration for the conference is $95. For information, call 215-951-1701 or send email to nmdc@lasalle.edu.
