  • Cristoff and Associates, a hospitality firm, San Rafael, CA, has established a new charitable organization called D.A.R.W.I.N. The group’s focus is animal rescue and welfare.
  • Currituck Community Foundation recently participated in the 1st Annual Golf Tournament to Benefit Currituck County. The event raised $5,282 for each organization that participated. The Foundation was started in 1999.
  • Volunteers of America, Alexandria, VA has received a $250,00 grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to establish model end-of-life programs for inmates confined in the nations jails and prisons. The program, named GRACE will begin in prisons in North Carolina, New York, Texas and Oregon.
