- Catherine Laylle Meyer, Nancy Dube, and Dr. Charles Morrison, all high-ranking officers with International Centre for Missing and Exploited Children, have beed selected to spearhead the Centre’s global agenda against international child abduction.

- More than 300,000 Southern Californians participated in the 30th Annual March of Dimes WalkAmerica event held recently. The event raised over $4 million to help fund March of Dimes programs in the Los Angeles area.
- The fourth annual Brookhill Gala benefiting Special Olympics North Carolina will be held May 5 at Prestonwood Country Club in Cary. This black-tie affair will be an evening of live music, hors d’ oeuvres, dancing and live and silent auctions. The keynote speaker will be Special Olympics Athlete Loretta Claiborne.
