Hillary Rodham Clinton may join the foundation world if she loses the Senate race, the Associated Press reports.
Some have speculated Clinton would run for a Senate seat in her home state of Illinois if she lost in New York, with an eye on the presidency in the future, AP says.
Clinton denies harboring presidential ambitions of her own. If she loses the New York Senate race, Clinton told Ladies’ Home Journal she’ll “probably be connected with a foundation or academic institution in some way,” AP reports.
In the foundation world, Clinton said she would remain active on political issues that mattered to her. Those include raising the minimum wage, expanding the earned income-tax credit to poor working people and putting more teachers in the classroom to lower class sizes in public schools, she told Ladies’ Home Journal.
The June issue of the magazine, which contains the interview with Ms. Clinton, goes on sale May 9.
