Pet retailer Petsmart raised $1,838,667 for pet welfare and adoption in its biannual “Just a Buck, Change Their Luck,” campaign.
The campaign, which ran from April 15 to May 7, raises money for Petsmart Charities. Employees encourage customers to donate one dollar – or more- when making their purchases.
All money raised through the campaign goes to local pet welfare and adoption agencies. Petsmart Charities also help subsidize the cost of spay/neuter services and provide aid to pets during natural and man-made disasters.
The campaign raised more than $3 million total in 1999. Since 1994, Petsmart Charities has donated more than $10 million to pet services.
