For every free registration made at OpenTable.com during that time, a one dollar donation will be made in the registrant’s name to Second Harvest. Each donation is enough to feed one child for one day.
The partnership will raise awareness as well as money, said Martha Pickett, chief operating officer and vice president of programs at Second Harvest.
OpenTable.com provides an online service allowing customers to book reservations for free with over 600 of the nation’s top restaurants.
Second Harvest is the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief charity with a network of more than 200 food bank and food rescue programs.
