Blackbaud wins big – Smithsonian archives software

Fundraising management software by Blackbaud won the 2000 Computerworld Smithsonian Award in the Government/Nonprofit category.

The software, called The Raiser’s Edge, will be included in the Smithsonian’s permanent research collection. The program automates the administrative tasks of fundraising, and is used by more than 9,000 nonprofits worldwide.

The Charleston, S.C.-based Blackbaud is the world’s leading provider of software to nonprofits.

The Computerworld Smithsonian Program honors organizations whose use of information technology produces positive social, economic and educational change. Case studies for all of the winners of the 2000 Computerworld Smithsonian Awards are available at the program’s Web site.
