$2M for Latino center – Largest corporate grant so far

 |

Intel Corp. will donate $2 million over the next three years to the new National Hispanic Cultural Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Business Wire reported June 26.

The money will go towards physical and Internet resources for the center’s Intel Center for Technology and Visual Arts. The grant will pay for a web site, a videoconferencing center, kiosks and a broadcast and routing facility.

Intel is giving the money in partnership with the Hispanic Cultural Foundation, whose mission is to raise money to supplement the federal, state and city grants that provided the initial capital for the center.

Intel’s contribution is the largest single corporate grant the foundation has received to date.
