Eradicating polio – $300 million needed

The American Cancer Society and Pfizer, Inc.are collaborating to develop an online database of community cancer programs and services.

The Community Resources Database will be available through the American Cancer Society’s website,www.cancer.org, and will contain more than 51,000 entries. The database has entries on a wide range of topics including the availability of local transportation, exercise and nutritional resources, counseling options and survivor networks.

According to the society, there are more than 8.5 million cancer survivors in the U.S.
