HIGH POINT, N.C. — Students at Fairview Elementary School in High Point will get a collection of musical instruments, thanks to a grant to the United Way of Greater High Point from Best Buy Co. Inc.

Best Buy is giving a total of $100,000 to five local United Way affiliates throughout the U.S. to boost music education for youngsters in low-income neighborhoods.

As part of the local project, Fairview music teacher Sandy Douglas will attend The University of North Carolina at Greensboro to receive certification in the Orff method of music instruction.
