The Epilepsy Foundation launched a new Internet resource on July 4 designed to provide information about the condition for patients, their families and professionals.
The Epilepsy Answer Place will be part of the Foundation’s main Web site. The new resource will provide information about advocacy, recent research, new treatments and answers to common questions in one place. Users will be able to choose whether they want basic information or detailed background on a topic, depending on their level of expertise and interest.
The site’s search engine will provide customized results for adults, parents, teachers, seniors, women and others. The foundation plans to add streaming audio and video to the site in the future.
The Epilepsy Answer Place was developed using a grant from Novartis Pharmaceuticals.
