Adobe goes global – Will donate software

 |

Adobe Systems is expanding its software donation program internationally.

The company will provide its Web and print publishing products — including Adobe Acrobat, Illustrator and Photoshop — to approved applicants.

Contributions will be coordinated by Gifts In Kind International, a nonprofit that matches corporate donors with charities throughout the world.

Product contributions are funded by Adobe’s anti-piracy initiative, the Robin Hood Program.

The initiative has recovered enough pirated software to donate $1 million in software to schools and nonprofit organizations.
