Family planning boost – Support for population program

Family planning programs in some of the poorest nations in the world will get a $44 million boost, thanks to grants from the David and Lucile Packard Foundation.

The grants will support the goals of the foundation’s Population Program to improve the health of women and children and protect the environment from the impact of population growth.

International programs funded by the grants provide direct family planning, contraceptive reproductive health services, education, advocacy and training in Ethiopia, India, Myanmar, the Philippines and other poor nations.
