Big Buddy grows – Elementary school focus

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Big Brothers Big Sisters Services is expanding its Big Buddy mentor program to 18 sites, up from 10 last year.

The program this year will provide mentors for children in 16 elementary schools in Forsyth County, plus one elementary school and an after-school program in Davie County.

Many of the volunteers are participate in the program during their lunch break.

The program aims to match 167 children with mentors this year, up from 117 children last year.
