Denver’s cultural organizations generated an estimated $844 million for the city in 1999, The Business Journal in Denver reported October 6.
The estimated impact is up 31 percent from 1997, when the total was $646 million.
The results are from a biennial survey conducted by the Colorado Business Committee for the Arts that measures the economic and social influence of cultural organizations in region.
Results are from surveys sent to organizations that received funding from the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District during the 1998-1999 calendar year.
