$210M for Cambridge – For non-British students

 |

Students throughout the world will have a chance to study at Cambridge University, thanks to a $210 million gift from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Reuters reported Oct. 11.

The gift will fund roughly 225 Gates Cambridge Scholars a year and will be awarded only to non-British students.

Scholars will be selected based upon their academic achievement and leadership potential.

Scholarships will cover all costs for one to three years, with a possible extension for a fourth year. The first scholarships will be awarded in 2001.
