Gay gift to Penn – Couple met at school

 |

A gay couple who met at the University of Pennsylvania has donated $2 million for a new gay and lesbian student center at the school, the Associated Press reported October 11.

The gift from David Goodhand, a former Microsoft software designer, and Vincent Girski, who also worked at Microsoft, will be used to renovate a building that will house the school’s Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Center.

The gift is the largest single gift to a gay and lesbian campus organization said Katherine Pease, executive director of the Gill Foundation, a philanthropic organization dedicated to gay issues.
