 |

The League of Women Voters has named Nancy Tate, a former top official with the National Academy of Public Administration, as its executive director.

Tate served as chief operating officer at the academy, a nonprofit chartered by the government to improve governance at all levels.

Currently, the League of Women Voters is providing voters with election and campaign information for thousands of federal, state and local candidates with DemocracyNet, its online voting guide. The league is actively involved efforts to encourage disengaged voters, particularly young people and minorities, to cast ballots.
