The University of Buffalo has launched a $250 million capital campaign, which is believed to be a record goal for a public university in New England, The Business Journal in Buffalo reported Oct 23.
The university’s “Generation to Generation” campaign kicks off its public phase having already raised $130 million since 1998. That total includes 12 gifts of more than $1 million.
The campaign, which will run through 2003, will support academic programs, facility improvements, endowed faculty positions, scholarships, a new alumni center and student life.
