Gay gift to Dartmouth – Second this year

A gay couple has donated $1 million to Dartmouth College to support programs for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender students.

The gift from Roger Klorese, a member of the Dartmouth Class of 1977, and his partner, David Haney, is the largest to date for the college’s gay and lesbian population.

The Klorese and Haney gift is the second of its kind made to Dartmouth this year. In February, the college received $250,000 from the Edward Carpenter Memorial Fund to enhance gay student life through academics and activities.
