$5M for school – Desert campus grows

California State University at San Bernardino has received $5 million from the City of Indian Wells, the largest donation ever to the school.

The gift from the resort city will help fund the construction of a second building on the university’s satellite campus in the desert.

The city will give the school $2 million immediately, with the balance to be paid in $1 million increments for three years.

In recognition of the gift, the new building will be named “The Indian Wells Center for Educational Excellence.”
