Grants limited – Staffing at issue

For its next grant cycle, the Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation in Winston-Salem will consider grant applications only from organizations that were awarded Reynolds grants in 1999 and 2000.

Applications for the next cycle must be submitted by Feb. 1, 2001, and will be reviewed by the foundation’s board in May.

The foundation asks that other groups postpone submitting grant requests until the next deadline, Aug. 1, 2001.

The foundation’s board decided to limit the Feb. 1 grant cycle to ease the workload on the staff in the face of a series of departures by senior executives and program officers.
