- INDEPENDENT SECTOR is currently accepting nominations for the 2001 Leadership IS Award for Organization Effectiveness, funded by Texaco Inc. The award recognizes nonprofit organizations that value and develop a culture of investing in the people of the independent sector as they work to build community. The recipient of the Leadership IS Award receives an award statuette and a gift of $10,000, which will be presented at the 2001 INDEPENDENT SECTOR Annual Conference and Meeting of Members, November 4-6, in Atlanta, GA.
