Regis gives – For studio theater

Regis Philbin, host of ABC’s “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” TV game show, has given $2.75 million to the University of Notre Dame to create a studio theater in the school’s $50 million Marie P. DeBartolo Center for the Performing Arts.

The 100-seat theater will house lab and performance-art productions in the school’s department of film, television and theater.

Philbin is a 1953 Notre Dame graduate.
