GivingCapital, a Philadelphia firm that makes charitable-investment software for financial services companies and nonprofits, has turned to the financial-services industry for the second time in a year for its top officer.
The firm named Christopher Blunt, former chief marketing officer in the Americas for Merrill Lynch Investment Managers in New York, its chief executive officer.
Blunt formerly was a managing director for Goldman Sachs Asset Management, where he was responsible for third-party distribution of the Goldman Sachs’ Mutual Funds.
He succeeds Art Lutschaunig, a former Fidelity Investments executive who was hired last August and resigned several months ago to pursue personal interests.
Working in partnership with the National Philanthropic Trust, GivingCapital provides technology and expertise to help financial-service firms and large nonprofits create online donor-advised funds.
The company also offers an online fundraising and member-management system for nonprofits.
