RALEIGH, N.C. — Ravenscroft School in Raleigh has named Rebecca Duncan, vice president for development at the North Carolina Symphony, as its new director development.
Duncan, who joined the symphony in December after serving as director of major gifts at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Mo., succeeds Mary Moss, who left to become associate head for institutional advancement at Saint Mary’s School in Raleigh.
Duncan says she left for personal reasons and because Ravenscroft represented “a wonderful opportunity and something I just couldn’t pass up.”
Ravenscroft, which is completing a $12 million campaign, will focus on strengthening its $500,000 annual campaign and assessing its needs for special projects, she says.
The symphony is completing a $13.5 million capital campaign and preparing for another that could total $30 million to $50 million.
