U.S./world – Charity probe – No-confidence seen

The government is conducting a six-month review of charity law in England and Wales, the SocietyGuardian in London reported June 20.

The commission has faced long-standing criticism for low public confidence in charities, the newspaper said.

The commission has been accused, among other things, of failing to limit high fundraising costs or aggressive fundraising strategies.
