Irish giving – $63M at midpoint

The Ireland Funds, a worldwide group that raises money for philanthropic groups in Ireland, the Irish Independent reported June 25.

The group has raised $63 million at the halfway point in its $100 million campaign, the Independent said.

The Ireland Funds, which have raised more than $160 million from 4,000 donors since being formed in 1976, last year handed out a record 14.3 million United Kingdom pounds in grants, or more than $20 million, to more than 260 projects in Ireland.
