Vet school gift – $1M a year

 |

RALEIGH, N.C.—The publisher of High Point Enterprise has pledged to give $1 million a year in matching donations to the College of Veterinary Medicine at N.C. State University to encourage additional funds to build a new medical center and hospital, The Associated Press reported March 18.

Randall B. Terry promised to donate $1 for every $2 the university raises in its non-campaign years, and $1 for every $3 raised during the fundraising years, up to a yearly maximum of $1 million, said the college’s director of development.

The publisher first visited the vet school 10 years ago when he brought in one of his golden retrievers for medical treatment.
