The renewal of community philanthropy will be the focus of the annual fundraising conference May 21-22 presented by the N.C.-Triad chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the N.C. Center for Nonprofits.
The conference, to be held at the Adam’s Mark hotel in Winston-Salem and sponsored by the Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro and the Winston-Salem Foundation, will address the challenge for charitable fundraisers in overcoming the slump in community giving.
A pre-conference workshop on planned giving, to be held May 21 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., will feature Tom Rogowski and Ken Dimock, senior vice president and vice president, respectively, for U.S. Trust, and fundraising consultant Whitney Jones.
At lunch on May 22, Ted D. Bayley, an associate vice president for The Alford Group in Atlanta, will speak on ethics in fundraising.
