  • The W.K. Kellogg Foundation gave a $3 million grant to New American Schools (NAS) and the Education Entrepreneurs Fund (EEF) to help inprove middle school education.

  • Milton Laufer, assistant professor of music performance, was named as the first Anne Weatherspoon Phoenix ’40 Professor of Fine Arts with a two-year appointment, thanks to the recent gift of Peace College alumna Anne Weatherspoon Phoenix ’40. The announcement was made during a dinner held in Phoenix’s honor on April 8.
