RALEIGH, N.C. — Judi Lund Person, president and CEO of the Raleigh-based Carolinas Center for Hospice and End of Life Care, has been named vice president of state and regulatory affairs for the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization in Washington, D.C.

Lund Person joined Hospice of North Carolina as CEO in November 1980 and oversaw its merger in July 1993 with its South Carolina counterpart.

The Carolinas Center is a member of National Hospice and Palliative Care, an advocacy and membership group for hospice groups in every state.

Before joining Hospice of North Carolina, now a two-state group providing technical assistance to local hospices and serving as an advocate on hospice and end-of-life issues, Lund Person was director of the office of volunteer services for the former state department of human resources.
