WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — The Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest North Carolina will receive proceeds from the 11th Annual Lowes Foods Golf Tournament Aug. 13 at Tanglewood Park in Clemmons.

In its first 10 years, the event raised $1.25 million for the Winston-Salem-based Food Bank, helping it distribute 20 millions pounds of food to its member agencies. The Food Bank last year collected nearly 7 million pounds of food and distributed 5.7 million pounds to more than 400 member agencies in 18 counties.
