RALEIGH, N.C. — The Boys & Girls Clubs in Raleigh have set a $450,000 goal for their annual drive that begins Feb. 1, and plan this spring to launch an endowment campaign totaling $3 million to $4 million.
For the annual drive, which raised $300,000 last year, Trent Ragland III, president of Ragland Properties and chair of the Boys & Girls Clubs’ board, is chairing the fundraising effort among board members.
Co-chairing the drive’s public fundraising are Doug Morgan, manager of personal and business banking at RBC Centura, and Adam Licthin, vice president for real estate at Lichtin Corp.
Co-chairs of the campaign to increase the organization’s $1 million endowment are Earl Johnson Jr., chairman of Southern Industrial Constructors, and Hamilton Sloan, retired vice chairman of General Auto Parts.
The annual drive has raised $150,000, including $10,000 from Elevation Baptist Church on New Bern Avenue.
