WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Senior Services in Winston-Salem has received two grants totaling more than $384,000 from the Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust.

The “recurring” grants, which the Winston-Salem-based foundation has given to Senior Services for roughly 10 years and increased over time, include $250,021 for its Meals-on-Wheels program, including a new route in Winston-Salem’s Konnoak area, and $134,198 for its home-care program.

Senior Services last year delivered more than 173,000 meals to elderly people in their homes, and provided more than 22,000 hours of service to older adults needing assistance in their homes.
