CARY, N.C. — The Carolinas Center for Hospice and End of Life Care has named Judy Brunger, former CEO of Hospice Savannah in Georgia, its president and CEO.

During Brunger’s 10-year tenure, Hospice Savannah grew from serving 26 patients a day to over 235.

Brunger succeeds Judi Lund Person, who was named vice president of state and regulatory affairs for the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization in Washington, D.C., in June 2002.

Susan Balfour, director of clinical and regulatory services, has served as as interim CEO.

The Carolinas Center for Hospice and End of Life Care is a membership association that serves over 100 hospices in the Carolinas.
