Tech notes – Foundation Source taps leaders

* Foundation Source in Norwalk, Conn., which provides back-office technology and support for foundations, has filled its top two jobs with former executives of Financial Fusion in Concord, Mass., and given its former top executive the job of vice chairman.

The firm’s new executive chairman is Daniel M. Schley, who was CEO of Financial Fusion, the online-banking unit of Sybase Inc. in Emoryville, Calif., and was founder, chairman and CEO of Home Financial Network in Westport, Conn., before Sybase bought it.

Christopher P. Infurchia, who was senior vice president and general manager of the web and wireless division of Financial Fusion, is president of Foundation Source, which has named Douglas K. Mellinger, its co-founder and former CEO, as vice chairman.

* Convio, a company in Austin, Tex., that provides Web-based services to help nonprofits manage relationships with constituents, has formed a partnership with Campbell & Co. to provide tech solutions for the Chicago-based consultant’s nonprofits and education clients in the areas of capital campaigns, annual giving and alumni relation.

* San Diego-based Kintera, a Web-based software firm serving nonprofits, has added eBay’s PayPal as an online payment option for donors and members of nonprofit associations.

* Bob Ellsworth, former chief operating officer at Network for Good, has joined software firm Kintera in San Diego as director of workplace philanthropy initiatives.
