San Francisco-based SeniorNet has developed a web-based system to help nonprofits register people for classes, conventions, seminars and other programs.
SeniorNet developed the system to help its 250 SeniorNet Learning Centers register more than 60,000 students a year on their Web pages, and will make it available for free to nonprofits.
SeniorNet will charge nonprofits that use the system for free a charge, at cost, to handle customization and installation, and is considering developing a central registration server with screens customized to look like those of individual nonprofits.
The project was developed with a $15,000 grant from TechFoundation in Cambridge, Mass.
