Capitol drive in works

 |

By Todd Cohen

RALEIGH, N.C. — The State Capitol Foundation in Raleigh is launching an endowment drive to raise $1 million.

The foundation’s membership arm, known as the State Capitol Society, has scheduled a ball at the Capitol on Dec. 6, although the foundation’s board has not yet decided whether proceeds from the ball will go to the endowment drive, says Carol Henderson, State Capitol administrator.

The society has received $40,000 from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina to sponsor the ball.

Chairing the foundation’s endowment committee is Ed Davis, a foundation board member and a project manager in the enhancements.
