By Todd Cohen

RANDLEMAN, N.C. [02.16.04] — To help the Victory Junction Gang Camp in Randleman complete its $24.4 million capital campaign, The Kresge Foundation in Troy, Mich., has awarded a $1 million challenge grant.

If the camp, which already has raised $18.8 million, can raise another $4.6 by Jan. 1, 2005, it will get the Kresge funds and reach its goal.

The year-round camp, set to open this summer on a 75-acre site, will serve seriously ill children from the Carolinas and Virginia.
