 |

Food Lion and vendors will donate share of sales to merged charity.

[02.24.04] — Easter Seals UCP of North Carolina, created through the merger January 1 of Eastern Seals North Carolina and United Cerebral Palsy of North Carolina, will benefit from a “Shop & Care” campaign the Salisbury-based Food Lion is sponsoring through March 16 at all its stores in North Carolina.

Part of the purchase price of more than 200 products marked with Shop & Care tags will be donated to Easter Seals UCP, with the amount determined by Food Lion and its individual vendor partners.

Food Lion and its vendor partners have raised nearly $9.1 million for Easter Seals of North Carolina over the past 12 years, and expect to raise at least $1 million this year.
