Red Cross fails to practice what it preaches.
To the editor,
[06.28.04] — I just read Barry Porter’s article “[Teamwork needed,” Philanthropy Journal, 06.17.04] on the Red Cross and their desire for more partnerships in their work.
If they would only recognize the Israeli Magan David Adom organization, they might have more.
By not accepting this wonderful organization, while at the same time working with the Moslem Red Crescent Society, they have stated their preferences.
It’s too bad that they are not the first ones who need to recognize the importance of their own message and the need to take it to heart.
It all begins at home.
