Measuring success

RALEIGH — Dennis Young, a leading expert in social enterprise, will speak at North Carolina State University on Oct. 4.

During the event, “Social enterprise: A strategy for nonprofit mission and sustainability”, Young will discuss how to measure success and assess risk and emphasize the importance of mission focus and business talent.

Young is professor of nonprofit management at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, and founding CEO of the Arlington, Va.-based National Center on Nonprofit Enterprise, a membership group that educates nonprofit leaders to help them make economic decisions.

The event, including a panel discussion and question-and-answer session, will be from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at the Jane S. McKimmon Center. Call 919.515.2261 for information.
