High Point drive

 |

United Way of Greater High Point set a goal of $3,950,000 for its annual drive, up 4 percent from last year.

The drive, which kicked off September 15, already had raised more than $1.1 million in early “pacesetter” campaigns, up 13.9 percent from last year.

Twenty-two pacesetter companies raised $1,078,598, and a number of United Way partner agencies raised another $24,043.

Strib Boynton, High Point city manager, chairs the pacesetter campaign.
