 |

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Potter’s House Community Kitchen of Greensboro Urban Ministry will receive one-fourth of the proceeds of the 2004 Greater Greensboro 5K CROP Walk.

This year’s walk, held Oct. 10, aimed to raise $200,000 to fight hunger, up from $182,255 last year, with one-fourth going to Potter’s House and the remainder to Church World Service in Elkhart, Ind.

Requests to Potter’s House for emergency food orders grew 17.5 percent in the first eight months of this year, compared to the same period last year.
