To the editor,
You let a highly partisan diatribe that condemned the intent of President Bush’s plan to strengthen the nonprofit sector in this country, place all the blame on the federal government and give the local governments a pass [“Nonprofits seduced by White House spin control”, 9.12.05].
In the process you let [Rick] Cohen show contempt for those organizations that are taking the lead in providing incalculable help to the suffering in our country, because they do not have the proper political view or agenda.
This should be a forum that promotes nonprofit issues, not the destructive partisan politics that hurt our country in times of crises.
