25th Crop Walk set

Organizers expect the 25th annual Greater Greensboro CROP Walk scheduled for Oct. 9 to attract 5,000 participants and raised $200,000, up from $183,335 last year.

One-fourth of the proceeds from The event, to be held at the new First Horizon Ballpark, will benefit the Potter’s House Community Kitchen of Greensboro Urban Ministry, and the remaining three-fourths will benefit Church World Service, an international nonprofit.

Chaired by Karen Hayes, a professor of psychology at Guilford College, the event will include five community walks and several specialty walks.
