A two-day workshop on grantwriting will be held June 20 and 21 at Wake Technical Community College in Raleigh.
Sponsored by the Grants Information Network of North Carolina, the workshop follows a similar session the group held in December.
For information and to register for two-day event, which costs $55, contact Thomas Caves at Tcaves@ncshp.org.
The network also has organized a series of programs targeting individuals involved in writing grant proposals and managing grant programs.
Based in Raleigh, the network is an informal group of grantseekers and managers who meet every other month to share information and work toward the common goal of increasing North Carolina’s share of federal discretionary funding.
Established in 2003 with the goal of creating a grants office within state government, the group now also provides networking and cross-training opportunities for grantmakers and grant seekers.
The network’s schedule includes opportunities for activism as well as education.
An April 13 meeting will convene network members and state and federal lawmakers to discuss the establishment of a grants office within state government, and a June 8 meeting will feature an educational program on developing grant budgets.
All meetings are free and open to the public. For information visit the network’s website.
