Demand for online constituent-management software drove Convio’s strong first-quarter sales results, the company says.
Sales jumped 55 percent during the first quarter of 2006, largely in response to the addition of new customers like the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Convio, based in Austin, Tex., provides software and consulting services to help nonprofit clients use the Internet to build and manage relationships with their constituents.
The revenue growth follows two years during which the software provider’s sales increased by half, it says.
During the past year, Convio’s customer based grew by half to include more than 550 nonprofits.
Release of Convio5, the latest version of the company’s software, also drove sales during the first quarter, the company says.
